I signed the petition for myself and my children. I have been a type 1 diabetic since I turned 12 years old. I’ve always dreamt of the day there’d be a cure - if not in my lifetime then at least in my children’s.

Hi! I signed the petition for my 11yr old niece who was diagnosed with TID over the Fourth of July weekend this year.

signed for my son. His name is June. He’s 3 years old and was diagnosed in January . We have the omnipod and G6.
I fear of losing him sooner than any parent should lose their child because of this disease. I fear one day there will be a day of insulin shortage or not being able to afford it. I fear in his youth/pre adult stages he will try to live as if he doesn’t need it and ends up dying. It’s crazy to say that but in reality that’s what could happen if he couldn’t receive insulin and people have died for this reason. It’s so sad and it shouldn’t be a world full of prices to pay when you need it to live.
I support a deeper research to try and help find a cure so my son along with millions of other people can live free from being insulin dependent.
