Last December, the JDCA sent a letter to the American Diabetes Association's Board of Directors, offering constructive suggestions on how the ADA might improve its impact on furthering T1D cure research, grow stronger, and potentially increase its declining revenue.
Our letter advocates for the ADA to listen to the collective voices of the T1D donor community whose suggestions, recommendations, and questions are the basis of this document.
We hope the ADA will consider our proposals to prioritize cure research—a shift in focus that could rebuild the relationship with its donors on a solid foundation, stronger than ever before.
