The JDRF is also one of the best positioned organizations in the world to bring about a scientific breakthrough for T1D which is why this information is so important.
The JDCA has reviewed JDRF financial data for the past 15 years in an effort to track the organization’s income sources and uses. Our goal in tracking this information has been to influence the JDRF to increase funding for type 1 diabetes cure research—the T1D community’s number one stated priority.
The key takeaway for the T1D audience is that research grant funding over the past five years has declined more than 60%, reaching a 15-year record low in 2015.
